The Story of Job 2010

Chapter 1

There was a man living in the great U.S. whose name was Job. This man was honest, respectable; he was a Christian man, sat in his same pew at the same church every week for the past 20 years. He gave to the church and prayed every day. He had a very large family one, 3 Sons, and 2 Daughters. He was a wealthy man, owning a car dealership three hotels, he was a majority share holder in the largest web search engine and a local fast food chain. He had about 3 thousand employees; he owned 2 houses, as well as a bout house, a beach house and a cabin in the Rocky Mountains. This Man was considered one of the greatest men in the western civilization.

His Sons and Daughters were loved by TMZ and VH1, Usually they were on the covers of the tabloids and they partied like rock stars. All of his children were very close and usually were causing public family shame all together. Job would spend hours praying every day that God would forgive them for their evils, for bringing family shame upon them all, and that wisdom would fill their hearts.

Now there was a day when the powers of the earth came to present themselves before God. And the Devil was also their. And God said to the Devil, “Where have you been? Where do you come from?” and Devil answered saying “From roaming across the earth, dancing in the dark clubs, Filling the veins of children with dreams, taking the innocence of women on the internet, destroying the righteous thoughts of strong men, choking life from the fish in the ocean, causing pastors to sleep with boys, and killing the unborn babies in the wombs of young women”

And God answered “ohh but have you seen Job? He is righteous and successful, and he seeks me every day. There is no one like him on earth, he gives to the poor, serves the homeless and is a caring and loving father. He turns from Evil, he is honest in all matters of business, never lies or cheats or steals. He turns from any temptation or evil.”

The Devil turned blackish red with anger and replied “Do you think he Fears for no reason? Do you not protect him from all evil? You give him success at every turn, advancing his businesses, and blessing his family. He fears you because you spoil him; He uses you in his mind, thinking of you as a puppet. Now show him your wrath for the sin that is in his heart. Stretch out your hand and curse his face. Crush him where he stands.”

God laughed and it shook Devil to his knees before him. “fine Devil, Go and all he has, his possessions his family, everything he has is yours to do what you wish to do. Just do not touch his personal body in anyway.”

The Devil was delighted and wasted no time. One week later the private jet owned by Job was flying from the Bahamas to Chicago when it stalled and plummeted killing everyone on board, which were all of Job’s Children, a later investigation showed that the accident was the result of intoxication. As it was the youngest of the sons that was the pilot that day. Job heard about his children’s death when one of his aids came rushing into his office telling him to turn on Fox news. Their he saw the wreckage of his family Jet on the coast. Job collapsed into his chair tears welling up in his eyes he reached for his phone to call his wife and just then it rang, he picked it up. “Hello this is Job,” his head sunk down into the palms of his hands, the Board of the Google had just removed him from his seat because he was under investigation for extortion and insider trading. Just then an Email came thru from his lawyer informing him, that His local food chain was being shut down and he was being sued and investigated for hiring illegal’s. Job’s head was reeling. He stood and stumbled towards the cupboard across the room pulled out a shot glass and a bottle of Rum as he slumped on the couch in his office, his top financial Aid com rushing in. “Sir, Sir, the DOW has taken a huge hit today and because of the investigations and suites, all your company assets have been frozen and your personal investments have all been seized and you are being sued by our investors.”

Job stood and took off his coat ripped the tie from around his neck, unbuttoned the top 2 buttons of his shirt. He finished his glass of rum, and walked out to the balcony of his office, standing 32 stories above ground he spread his arms and shouted to the sky. “I came with no money, no clothing no food. Born to a poor family living in a one bedroom apartment in California, and Now I shall return to the nothing I was born with. That the last 58 years of my life would pass away like a dream or be buried in it’s death of success. May I return once again to my humble ways.” But never did Job Curse God, or reject his righteous ways.

I Took Your Life

Hey Look over there

Now look over here

Look up there

Look down there

Now where did your life go?

I took it while you were watching the act

I stole your soul

As a magician distracts you with one hand

and performs the trick in his other hand

I took your life as you gazed upon every distraction

Do you feel accomplished?

Do you have a mission

A desire

A goal?

Or did you forget to hit record on your favorite TV show tonight

Did you miss the post on Facebook

Did you grow the crop on Farmville?

Look at you now
Look at your eyes,

Look at your hands

Look at your feet

How where did your life go?

I took it while you were taking pictures of yourself

I stole your sole as you recorded the video for YouTube

As a thiefe comes when you are away from home
I came as your body was online

Do you feel loves>

Do you have enough comments

Enough appreciation

A peace?

Or did your secret online crush on line ignore you

Did your ridiculous, or beautiful, or artistic picture get noticed

Did you miss the event last week

Did you see the last American Idol?

Look at the sky now

Look at the mountain

Look at the ocean

Look at the stars

Where did your life go?

Where is your family now

Where are your friends

Where is your house

How long have you been dead?

I stole your life,

As you sold it to me peace by peace

I never asked you for it

But you handed it freely

You surrendered all you were

And now I control you

I control your thoughts and desires

I control your social life

Your work

Your school

I am society

I am social networks

I am online chatting

I am Posts and Pictures
I am the new god of the universe

I take your soul and in return

You feel a bit godless

And you love it

You need no God

You are everywhere

You can be seen around the world

You can empower yourself thru me

Because I am the new Idol

I am the new God

Bow down before your screens

Bow down before your keyboards

Bow down to me

Plug your headset into me

Listen to what I say

Watch what I show you

I am the collective lives all humanity

Don’t scream as I choke you

Be silent ad stoned

Be transfixed to me

Never leave me

Because I am your life line

If you cut me off

You cut off all

You will not be loved without me

You will not be known without me

You will not be seen without me

Forget 7 minutes of fame

Lets spend your life for fame.

You talk to me late at night

You talk to me first in the morning

I am in your pocket

I am with you at work
I am

I am

I am

Do You fear me?

The Fear of me is the beginning of your death

To surrender your life to me

Is your choice.

What will you do?

What did you do?

Try and escape my grasp

Try to replace me

I have taken your life

Just try to take it back

A Prayer of Sorts

I am standing. Blind, not blind folded, or in a dark room. I stand blind. But ready to run.
I stand in a mine field, Blind. I minefield that I must navigate, I must press on.
So I sprint, I sprint blind in the mine field knowing that I can trust God to guide.
I sprint, the sting of side cramps, the running of sweat, I run,
Brick wall, sprint ends, head ached depressed tired, sore doubting.
Why God? Why the brick wall?
I gather myself together, pray prepare, adrenaline raging, and sprint
Another 15 yards, and brick wall, crack, blood, alone, crying. Where do I go God?
I know that behind every brick wall is a mine I would have stepped on.
I mine that would have destroyed my life, ended it that second.
But I must run this race, I must so I gather myself again
I pray for guidance and strength.
And sprint another 15 yards, brick wall broken forearm
Ohh I could crawl, I could hobble, and slither about from brick wall to brick wall. But I was called to run
I must run. Because, because,
Ohh just because
So I sprint,
Sprint
Sprint
And wall after wall after wall greats me.
I get up and pound against the wall in frustration,
maybe I am supposed to get over the wall or thru it. Maybe that is the challenge.
But no, blind and feeble and mad, no strength of mine can take down the wall.
So I sprint, every day I sprint, I fight the sweat and tears and sprint,
Am I to stand still until I can see? Or until I die?
Am I to wait for the return of the King before I sprint?
I was told to run the race,
Not debate the race
Or take bets on the race,
Or skip the race
I sprint!
From wall to wall I run
Like a mouse in a maze, but to anyone watching you would see why I run in such madness
I run for the prize.
The great prize.
And I know that my feet move at the lords will
And when my tears fall he is there
And when my sweat and blood mingle, he bore the pain of them
I do not run because I want to
I run because I am told to, and I want to obey
God will make away, and I will run in his direction everyday.
So do not mock me for running into walls,
Pray that I may see the prize, and not the pain.
These walls are here to protect me
And God’s hand is in all of it.

This was just in my mind, inspired I guess. It comes from sprinting after God and what he lays before me. I pursue in faith what I see as his plan and when I hit a brick wall, it hurts. But God knows and has a reason. I sprint to jobs, and mostly hit a wall, sprint to school, mostly hit a wall, sprint to friendships, mostly hit a wall, sprint to relationships, mostly hit a wall. But I desire in all of this to run in such a way. Knowing the end prize is what I want. And that God is using the different circumstances, and walls, to guide me to him.

Age

Age has no reason or responsibility, it comes at you like a train off its tracks.

Age takes youth he slays them at their heart. Removes their spirit and excitement

Age takes beauty and eats it, He delights in the pain of backs creaking

Age never leaves, he always rushes over you, he takes the breath from lungs

Age comes like a world wind, dragging you across life’s journey

Age shows you mistakes and faults, slowly giving them the answers to life

Age fills the mind with memories of the days that were, and shows the joys of days to come

Age gives reason, He gives lessons life, He builds ageless love

Late Night Story

I awoke in my dream, standing a coffee in hand school bag on my back, no shoes, and just my sweat pants and shirt, I was confused, just a second ago I had turned off my bedroom light, wrapped myself in my covers and prepared for a nights rest. And here I stood in what I wore to sleep with my school bag and a cup of coffee in the middle of a sun lit coffee shop. And not only was this a startling feeling but it was soon met by the sound of an annoying male high-pitched self-righteous voice; Screaming that I had burned his coffee. I now saw his face red with anger a well trimmed beard, he was no man of great stature, his hair and beard the color of that dark grey that brings some level of respect, but yet again his voice rang out. Now I was upset. I have never made a burnt cup of coffee for a costumer, come to think of it, I have never worked in a coffee shop, much less been in a coffee shop with no shoes on. I turned and asked this man what is problem was, he raised his hand waited down at the writs by a beautiful tag watch, with a gold face, platinum band and diamond settings for the minutes and hours on the face. Was this man well dressed? Ohh yes, I have never seen such a man so wealthily dressed, and I am not speaking of some modern cool hip fashion I mean pure wealth. And yet over the next five minutes he would get a free cup of coffee from me and a gift card for free coffee the rest of the year. I then saw him walk up to an older lady at the door hold out his hand and watch her pull out 20 dollar bill and begrudgingly hand it to him. I was utterly outraged and ran out the door for him, and found myself in a tree house, and I looked down to see that he had sprang from the tree to sit in his convertible Audi, plated in silver, speed down the road.

I swung down from the lowest branch and looked up I could see now, the tree house coffee shop. Odd but cool I thought and what a strange place this was. I saw down the road an intersection, and cement seamed to stretch out from this road in every direction. But there was only one intersection. And there sat a man at the intersection, he sat in a wheel chair with a sign, he had a dirty messy beard disheveled hair, and was missing a tooth or two. But he sat there with his cardboard sign “War Vet. Need money for a beer.” I walked by ignoring the old fool, I knew he could get up and walk, I yelled over my shoulder “Get a job!” Can you believe this guy has the audacity to sit and beg for money, we live in America he can get a job! I kicked a stone and it bounced along the road. Funny how we get such amusement out of so small a thing, to watch the stone skip and bounce along the gravel in a controlled chaotic way, and even if it is to bounce in a direction that may be exactly where I would be heading I still follow it a bit to the left or right to kick it again and watch it skip.

Suddenly the stone skipping along hit a wall, startled for I had been walking in this manner watching the bounce of a stone for miles I looked up, and this was a great wall. And up in the wall was a single window that out looked the countryside, and from that window drooped a great red satin curtain, it came from the window down to the base of the wall, and upon looking up I could see neon signs, And the silhouetted outlines of females, and from the window I heard a seductive voice calling. “Romeo Romeo, climb up my Romeo, for I have great plans for you in my rooms, ohh Romeo.” I stared up in disgust, how could I have found myself in such a place. I screamed at the one in the window damming her to hell because of her evil actions. “God hates you, you all are going to die.” The sound of my voice sounded like an enraged sign barer at the main cross roads of a college campus with a cross in one hand and a loud speaker in another hand.

I was now standing in fact at on a campus. Shouting at the students walking by. I knew some of them, the guys who drank themselves to death, and the girls in their next to nothing clothing attire. To men walking by holding hands, a group of students in all black, I scream at them with the loud speaker you are all going to hell!

Suddenly it all went dark. And I sat in a small room, with about 7 other people, there were police officers, a lawyer, a prosecutor, and through a window I saw a man hooked up to some medical devices. I could see liquid running through the tubes into his veins. And his body relax and seem to give way under the immense wait of the air. I felt some great satisfaction, I knew somehow he was a terrible man, he most of kidnapped at least 5 women and killed each over the past 30 years. That man was dead and gone. Oh what a relived feeling.

I stood up and walked out of the room into a hall, a hall with a buffet line of food, and everyone had a smile, and I turned and began to notice everyone had a crown upon their head. There was laughter and children dancing in the streets. And I turned I knew I was home where I belonged. In heaven. Here there would be no more evil scumbags of the earth that were now serving their eternal sentence in hell. I noticed everyone had nametags. Jody the stay at home mom of 5 children, Jim the owner of a Christian book store, John the small town carpenter. Just then I saw a man in his mid 50’s I knew him immediate he held a cup of perfectly brewed coffee in his hand and he was sitting at the feet of the host listening. How could he be hear? Then next to him I saw a tall man in uniform “Ha” I thought “see his legs are just fine. And then there was a young lady in a veil and robe, then a scene of college student holding up signs, and there was the man that had been sentence to death row. I was upset and furious. How could our host have allowed them here? Did he not understand that I had decided long before they were going to hell? I approached the group and noticed their nametags. I knew learned their names something I never bothered to do before.

The rich snobs name tag read;
Zacchaeus: the man from the tree,

The lame man: that came through a roof,
Rahab: the hider of spies,
The students holding up the signs read; A city saved by a fishy smelling man
And the man from death row his name tag read.
Corey: the thief upon the cross
How could I have not seen these people for who they really were? How could I only see them in the flames of hell and not the streets of heaven?
Lord give me your eyes to see your people.
